| Tell us briefly about your services or what you sell: | Crown By Chanil is a natural hair care line using natural ingredients. Our products range from detangle spray,scalp oil to hair scrunchies, bonnets for all ages and more! Will soon launching more products this year. |
| What inspired you to start your business? | I started the business after my grandmother passed and I wanted something that would actually honor my both of my great grandmothers. Example , my late paternal great grandmother favorite color was yellow hence my business color scheme being yellow and my maternal great grandmother actually had clients of her home who I’d watch come get their hair did in her kitchen as a child! Also I started the business after start my own hair care journey and finally understanding what my hair did and didn’t like. I needed something that would cater to my crown and it wasn’t until I made my own products that I noticed my hair was happy with. |
| What problem does your business solve? | The problems that my business solves is filling in the blanks of what hair care is missing.A line using natural ingredients instead of harsh chemicals that can lead to your crown not being too happy |
| What daily habits contribute to your success? | Having a daily routine and a schedule definitely helps. Using a calendar and planner helps keep me organized |
| How do you stay motivated during tough times? | During hard times Im always Loki g at the bigger picture, knowing that the current state won’t be my forever state. It a time that has come to teach me a lesson and being able to use what I learned moving forward |
| What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received as an entrepreneur? | The best advice I received is “just because someone else is doing something doesn’t mean that should stop you from doing what you want because there’s only one you”. There are a million hair care line but each and every one are different. What my business brings is different from what on the shelves and vice versa. |
| What does success mean to you? | Success to me means having singing you’ve built that you’re able to share with multiple generations. Success I believe is not just awards and recognition it’s being able to help and share with beyond where and what you come from |
