| Tell us a little bit about yourself. briefly talk about your services or what you sell: | My name is Murren and I’m from Derby, England. My main hobby at the minute is making punch needle mug rug coasters and listing them on Etsy. This hobby really relaxes my brain and I love turning peoples ideas into a coaster they love. Apart from that you can find me walking my 2 mini dachshunds Rolo and Nellie |
| What inspired you to start your business? | Last year, I went through a really tough time with my mental health. I needed something to relax my brain and distract me from my current life worries. I found joy in connecting with other small businesses and finding a community of like minded creative people. |
| What problem does your business solve? | I believe my business brings a bit of happiness to people’s homes. I’ve had positive feedback from customers that look at my product daily and it makes them smile. |
| What daily habits contribute to your success? | Just a genuine love and passion for my hobby. I like to share my products with people via instagram, threads and tik tok and the feedback I receive inspires me to keep making my products. |
| How do you stay motivated during tough times? | I received a PMDD diagnosis from the hospital earlier this year which causes me to experience severe mood changes and a lack of motivation, a lot of the time it is debilitating. But since I have started punch needling and making sales through Etsy, I have found that it gives me a purpose and something to focus on |
| What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received as an entrepreneur? | I’m not sure I’ve received any advice but seeing posts of people sharing their small business journeys inspires me and keeps me on track |
| What does success mean to you? | Making a lasting positive impact on people’s lives, whether that’s through my sales or through supporting other people |
