Tell us briefly about your services or what you sell: I own Perfect Petals Boutique, which has two sides—Perfect Petals, where I create and sell floral arrangements, and Petals & Bubbly, a floral workshop experience. Each workshop has a unique theme, like ‘Bunnies & Blooms’ for Easter, designed as a space for women to celebrate, unwind, and connect while learning floral design. My goal is to make flowers not just about beauty but about bringing people together in a fun and creative way.
What inspired you to start your business? I’ve always had a love for flowers and how they can brighten someone’s day. But beyond that, I wanted to create something more than just a florist business—I wanted to build experiences. I was inspired to start Perfect Petals Boutique because I started off making arrangements for my home every week. A friend of mines and I would send each other pics every Sunday. With Petals & Bubbly, I wanted to give women a space to celebrate, unwind, and connect while embracing their creativity. It’s about more than just flowers—it’s about joy, community, and making lasting memories.
What problem does your business solve? Perfect Petals Boutique solves two things—bringing beauty into people’s lives with unique floral arrangements and creating meaningful social experiences through our workshops. Many people want gorgeous flowers for their homes or events but don’t know where to start, and I provide curated, high-quality floral designs. On the other side, with Petals & Bubbly, I offer a space for women to unwind, celebrate, and connect through hands-on floral workshops. In today’s fast-paced world, we don’t always take time for creativity or community, and my business helps fill that gap.
What daily habits contribute to your success? Consistency and creativity are key to my success. Every day, I dedicate time to refining my floral skills, whether through practice, research, or staying inspired by trends and taking classes. I also focus on marketing—engaging with my audience on social media, networking, and finding new ways to promote my business. Another important habit is planning and goal-setting to stay on track with sales, events, and growth. Lastly, I make time to nurture relationships, both personally and professionally, because community and connection are at the heart of Perfect Petals Boutique.
How do you stay motivated during tough times? Fear got the best of me. I sat on the idea for a little over a year and I saw others with similar ideas and I got discouraged. I had a friend say, “theres always going to be more than one business that offer the same products, just start the business” STAY FOCUSED! I trust my thoughts and my ideas despite what others may say or suggest. I just keep going! Praying and manifesting. Trusting God
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received as an entrepreneur? One of the best pieces of advice I’ve received as an entrepreneur is, ‘Start before you’re ready.’ It’s easy to get caught up in waiting for the perfect moment, but in reality, growth happens through action. I’ve learned that taking the first step, even when things aren’t perfect, allows me to learn, adapt, and improve along the way. If I had waited until everything felt ‘just right,’ I might have never started Perfect Petals Boutique. Now, I embrace the journey, knowing that progress is better than perfection. I set a date, advertised and I had no choice but to make it happen.
What does success mean to you? Success is bringing joy to people’s lives and hosting workshops where women can unwind, celebrate, and connect. It’s about building a brand that fosters community, creativity, and memorable experiences. If I’m doing what I love, making a difference, and growing along the way, then I consider that a success.
